ABOUT THIS PRODUCT: AutoStore Interface API v2.7.0 enables Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to integrate with AutoStore robotic storage and retrieval systems. CRITICAL RULES: - Task Interface and Bin Interface CANNOT be combined. Each installation must choose one. - Port Interface is only needed for custom Port hardware (e.g., conveyor belts). Standard Ports do not need it. Only supports single-cell Ports. Custom Ports must be configured with port type CUSTOM. - Log Publisher is REQUIRED for Bin Interface. Optional for Task Interface. - Users must complete mandatory AutoStore Interface training before implementing. - Interface V1 is DEPRECATED. Do not run V1 and V2 simultaneously. INTERFACE ARCHITECTURE: Task Interface: HTTP POST to api/v2/task on port 44000. Higher-level abstraction — AutoStore handles Bin preparation, sequencing, optimization. Best for simpler WMS. Bin Interface: HTTP POST to api/v2/bin on port 44000. Lower-level — WMS manages Bin movements, grouping, preparation, optimization. More flexible but complex. Port Interface: Available via both interfaces. Controls Bin exchange between Grid and custom Ports using portcellallocate, portlocationready, portbinready. Log Publisher: TCP/IP event stream on port 44001 (TLS: 44103). Real-time events: Bin Location [BL], Bin Mode [BM], Cell Definition [CD], Cell Mode [CM], Alert [AL], Hatch State [HS], Cell Lock [CL], Port Mode [PM], System Mode [SM], and others. PERFORMANCE: - closebin→openbin and closebin→closeport: within ~100ms. - Look-Ahead: schedule ~30min of work. Low Pareto: ~20-25min. High Pareto: ~45min. - Load tasks 30min before operations begin — first session is slower. - Avoid frequent Port open/close — disrupts preparation queue. - Avoid leaving Bins open in Ports — blocks other Ports needing that Bin. - Avoid excessive flushport — only for deadlocks, MultiPort toggle, chilled/frozen Bins. - Max ~5% urgent orders before throughput impact. KEY FEATURES: Content Codes: Integer per Bin indicating contents/empty status. Managed by WMS via closebin, insertbin, updatebin. Cell content codes restrict which Bins can be stored in a cell. Content Code Ranges group codes for cells but CANNOT be used in Port queues or openport. AS Router: 1 code/range/set per cell. AS Planner: up to 8 per cell. FlexBins: Different Bin sizes in same Grid. Each Port handles one size. Task groups must not mix sizes. Use categories to route to correct Ports. G2G (Grid-to-Grid): Two Grids via Bin Lifts, each with own API endpoint. SWAP mode: bidirectional exchange. One-way: source OPEN mode, destination INSERT mode. WMS must monitor Bin balance. MultiPort: Two physical Ports as one logical Port. Activate: closeport+flushport both, then enablemultiport. Deactivate: closeport+flushport, then disablemultiport. Error 1078 = Bins still flushing, retry. Delayed Stop: Locked cells block task group selection. Task Interface: suspend affected task groups. Bin Interface: remove affected Bins from queues.
