Bin Mode [BM]

Bin mode CLOSED is not sent when a bin is placed in the Grid. This can be confusing, but the BM segment reflects bin mode changes at the port level only. You can assume that a closed bin has the same mode as Grid. A bin in GRID mode is accessible to the grid and the same applies to CLOSED mode. To determine when and where a bin has been placed within the grid, you would need to refer to the BL segment. However, this is normally not necessary.

The PREPARED bin mode is normally used exclusively by the Bin Interface. However, it can also be enabled for the Task Interface to allow monitoring of the preparation process.
