AutoStore Configurations

Port Configurations

Robot Queue

This configuration sets the maximum number of robots allocated to a Port. (This configuration was
previously called Port Queue.)

The Router software will automatically adjust the number of robots allocated to a Port. Setting this configuration will in most cases force Router to limit the number of robots queued to Port, but is not strictly followed in corner cases.

Use default configuration

For the router software this is the recommended setting for most ports. For ASPlanner the default is 2.

0This would cause no Robots to stand and wait. So when a new Bin is requested a
Robot would pick it up and then deliver it. This will cause long delivery times and is only appropriate for very slow inspection or putaway Ports.
1This allows one Robot to wait above the Port with the next bin. For ASPlanner, this is appropriate for most putaway operations which usually take longer on the user side.
2This allows one Robot to wait above the Port and the second above the buffer postion.
For ASPlanner, this is appropriate for medium performance Ports.
3 or moreFor ASPlanner, this is for fast-picking Ports. (The value is often about the same as the number of picks per minute, but other considerations may also apply.)

Minimum Cycle Time

Theoretical minimum time spent consuming 1 bin at port. (Cycle time: Time from one bin is requested at port, to the next, including both user and robot time). Default value is 8.
